Does your Vaillant boiler need some attention? Im assuming that if you’re reading this right now you may well have an issue with your boiler or heating system. You may be looking for someone who can fix the problem. Nobody wants their boiler or heating system to break, but unfortunately these things do happen and sometimes its necessary to call someone in to fix the problem. When a customer calls upon a tradesmen to fix a problem they expect someone who is competent, dependable and honest. I specialise in boiler maintenance, including the service and repair of Vaillant boilers. These include the older standard efficiency models such as the Turbomax, and the new high efficiency models such as the popular ecoTEC Pro and ecoTEC Plus range.

Vaillant are market leaders in heating technology and in combination boiler innovation and design. In 1967 Vaillant conceived a device which for the first time combined heating and a hot water supply in a single combined unit – the birth of the combi boiler. This unit was known as the Combi-Geyser VCW 20. Today the VCW 20 lives on as the Vaillant ecoTEC Pro.

The Vaillant ecoTEC Pro is a very popular boiler and probably one of the most reliable I tend to come across. They do go wrong occasionally, but when they do it usually relates to minor components such as the pressure sensor for example. I carry Vaillant spares for service and repair.

F75 Fault

The F.75 fault on the Vaillant ecoTEC range is quite common. On these boilers there is a sensor which detects static pressure in the boiler, but also detects a rise in pressure when the pump starts to run. Sometimes these sensors get blocked and can’t work, but usually they go faulty and need to be replaced. If the pumps fails or is failing, then this code will also present itself. Common problems

Common issues with the Vaillant ecoTEC range include the following;

Boiler loosing pressure.
Central heating, no hot water.
Hot water, no central heating.
Poor hot water delivery.
F.75 fault code which indicates low pressure warning regardless of how much pressure is in the boiler.
F.28 fault code relating to ignition faults.

Common causes of problems with Combi boilers include the following:

• Flat or damaged expansion vessels – loss of pressure or leaks.
• Dirty or damaged pressure relief valve – loss of pressure.
• Dirty auto air vents – leaks/loss of pressure.
• Blocked plate to plate heat exchangers – hot water problems.
• Faulty or blocked pressure switches/sensors – boiler fails altogether.
• Faulty flow turbines or flow switches – hot water problems.
• Faulty thermistor(NTC) sensors – can effect hot water and/or heating.
• Failing pumps – can effect hot water and/or heating.
